Joy for Isaac Twum and Afeez Aremu, IK Start put a stupendous performance to fight from 4-0 down to lose 4-3 to earn the ticket to the Norwegian Eliteserien.
Start had won the first leg of the playoffs at the Sparebanken Sør Arena on Saturday 2-1 and sealed promotion on away-goal rule after the tie ended 5-5 on aggregate.
All was lost for the team from Kristiansand who got relegated to the Division One last season, after they got 4-0 behind before the 61st minutes.
Twum was brought on in the 71st minute for E. Marković and made instant impact, sparking his team’s energy to start a comeback.
The Ghanaian midfielder assisted the opening goal in the 76th minute with M. Ramsland pouncing on Twum’s free kick.
Ramsland completed his hattrick in the 82nd minute after scoring again three minutes after opening his account.
Nigerian midfielder Afeez Aremu played the entire duration of the match and exhibited top performance in the heart of midfield.
