Inter Allies lost for the first time season in a 1-0 reverse to Bechem United on match-day two of the 2014/15 First Capital Plus Premier League.

The Eleven Is To One suffered first defeat of the season, Aminu Mohammed’s 74th minute volley was enough to sink Paa Kwesi’s men.

The coach made a single change to the team that beat Medeama 2-0 in the opening day fixture.

Vice-captain Baba Mensah returned from national duty to replace Wahab Ackwei to pair with captain Joseph Aidoo.

Striker Edward Allan Shearer was introduced to the bench for the first time.

The Eleven Is To One went to the game with a a win from the first match and it didn’t take long to announce their arrival.

Winger Frederick Opoku Yamoah dashed through the defenders of Bechem to find Frederick Boateng, but latter’s shot went narrowly wide.

Seven minutes later the first chance popped up, once again Frederick Yamoah sent a soft cross from the left side, Bechem’s last defender had a miscue and the ball found Lord Ofosuhene all alone with just the keeper to beat, but the forward’s strike went surprisingly over the bar.

Although the hosts enjoyed good possession during some stages of the first half, they created no goal scoring chance and it was Paa Kwesi’s men who looked like getting the opener.

Lord Ofosuhene, Prosper Kassim and Fredrick Boateng went  close to breaking the deadlock, on the hand, Issaka Nyamenero also went close to the opener, but both sides left the first half barren.

After a brilliant start to the second half, the hosts mounted a lot pressure to get the opener, Razak Egyir, Noah Martey and John Nyamekye went close but goalkeeper Osei Kwame pulled magical saves to deny them.

Eventually, the pressure from Bechem paid off with a quarter of an hour to go. The silence was broken through Aminu Mohammed who sent a missile after a corner was headed out for the opener.

Inter Allies continued to fight their way back in to the game however they were their own enemies at times spurring any chances they were able to create until the end of the game.

Despite the defeat, Inter Allies sit 7th on the league log with 3 points after two games.
