Midfielder Abass Mohammed was named the Discovery Player of the MTN FA Cup Round of 16  tie against Ashanti Gold.

The Miners were 2-1 victors and knocked the Eleven Is To One out of the FA Cup winning 2-1 at the Len Clay on a wet Wednesday  afternoon.

Abass, who on the day was a left back was fairly the best player for the club with awesome qualities of a defender showing his versatility.

He topped his performance with several cross and attacking minded forward passes with one leading to Fuseini Elliasu’s opener.
