Head coach Herbert Addo insists he’s delighted to return to the helm of affairs and has vowed to do his outmost best.
The veteran trainer returned to the side he left at the end of 2013/2014 season after a fantastic first spell, beating all odds to survive relegation to a 6th-placed finish.
The gaffer didn’t fail to hide his happiness over his return and hopes to have another terrific stint with the club after signing a two-year deal on his return.
“Am very happy to be back working again for Inter Allies and hopefully we can all work like we worked before,” he told the club’s official website www.interalliesfc.com
Addo confirms he has had very healthy reactions from both the players/playing body and management since he returned because of his past record with the club but hopes to better that and misses some of his old boys.
“It’s nice to see them (players) but fortunately and unfortunately most of them have gone to better their careers, which is good.”
He added: “With management, am happy and they’re also happy because they know what I did for them the first time and I hope to improve on that, even though it’s going to be much harder.”
Leading the ‘Eleven Is To One’ to survive relegation after losing first seven league games (2013/14 season) and losing the FA Cup final to Asante Kotoko, Addo left on a very high note but insists the remarkable feat played little in his return, as he has immediate goals for the club (he won’t disclose that though).
“I try to do my best wherever I go and set myself personal targets. So I hope this year my target as matched by the club’s will be achieved,” he added.
A number of the key players who made Herbert Addo’s first stint a memorable one have left the club and the gaffer believes it will make his task tougher in their absence, however insists current crop of players can match up the previous standard and produce results.
“Of course, it will be much tougher without the old guys I worked with but hopefully if the players we have now are tactically and self-disciplined, then it will make the job easier to achieve results.”
