Vice-captain Baba Mensah presented his 2014/15 GFA/PLB Defender of the season award to his colleagues.

Mensah  who played 22 matches with three goals handed over his accolade to the team in the presence of head coach Herbert Addo and first team coach Rashid Iddi after training on Wednesday.

The award which was received by Technical Director Willie Klutse on  Mensah’s behalf (Baba was then with the Local Black Stars in Abidjan) was handed to Baba on his return.

“I’m highly honoured to be named the defender of the season but I didn’t achieve it alone, the accolade is for the team,” he said.

“We did our best to be in the top four but all the same we are happy with our performances and we deserve this award.

“No individual can be the best without the help another, so I thank all my teammates and dedicate this to them.”

Mensah won the prestigious award for excelling and displaying top performances via his hard work through out last season with the ‘Eleven Is To One’
