Third captain midfielder Gockel Ahortor has revealed that he is aiming to score against Hearts of Oak for the third consecutive time as IAFC prepare to stop the league leaders.
Hearts of Oak have been very impressive since the 2014/15 league started accumulating three wins and a draw from four games which finds them top of the log with ten points.
The fantastic midfielder primarily has cultivated a habit of scoring the Phobians at the Tema Sports Stadium after facing them twice since Inter Allies joined the top-flight two seasons ago.
In the 2013/14 season Ahortor scored for the ‘Eleven Is To One’ but it was not enough as they lost 3-2 to Hearts of Oak and last season he scored the winner in added time to win 2-1 for the ‘Eleven Is To One.’
Ahortor who has scored twice in his two meetings against Hearts in Tema is keen to find the net one more time as both sides clash on Sunday at the same venue.
“Last season I was much excited as well as the whole team after that goal and win because I scored very late in the game and sealed the win,” he told the club’s official website.
“This season, I want to score against them once more. I know if I keep playing well in midfield then I’ll hopefully create more chances for the team and for myself too.”
After four games this season, Ahortor has started and completed three of them and has been very impressive for the ‘Eleven Is To One.’
