Inter Allies were held to a 1-1 drawn game at the Tema Sports Stadium against an in-form Asante Kotoko in a very terrific atmosphere on Saturday.

The match day 18 fixture saw Inter Allies come from a goal down to earn a vital point. Bennett Ofori tapped in from close range to open the scoring before Frederick Yamoah equalized in the second half.

Coach Jimmy Corbblah made six changes to the side that lost 2-0 in the previous league match to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.

Wahab Ackwei started in defence with Emmanuel Nettey, Simon Martey was on the right side of defence. Abdul Halik Hudu was on the right side of attack whist, Frederick Yamoah was on the left.

Gockel Ahortor and Prince Baffoe were the central midfielders leaving Sheriff Deo Mohammed upfront with Frederick Boateng.

It was a bright start for the ‘Eleven Is To One’ who could have had an early goal, however Sheriff Deo Mohammed fluffed the early opportunity.

Despite dominating possession in the early embers of the game, it was the visitors who scored first. Sarfo Gyamfi shot from distance but Osei Kwame failed to grab it one time setting a simple tap in goal for Bennett Ofori in the 12th minute.

Both sides set several chances but the tally remained the same until the referee blew his whistle for the mandatory half time break.

Inter Allies returned from the recess a very spirited side with a lot of attacking balls. The high pressing game yielded the equalizer in the 51st minute.

Frederick Opoku Yamoah received a pass from the middle and surged towards the penalty area, 30 yards to the goal Yamoah blasted it home beautifully to draw level.

Inter Allies dominated the rest of play but failed to let that count as they failed to add to the tally, the game ended 1-1.
