Relegation-threatened Inter Allies kept their extended unbeaten run to eight matches and temporarily moved out of the drop with a 2-0 win over Hasaacas.
It was a commanding display from the home side who are seeking to avoid eviction miraculously.
Abdul Fatawu Safiu tapped in from close range after Senegalese import Talla Ndiaye unselfishly laid a pass from the right for him to direct in.
Midfielder Prosper Kassim delivered a defence splitting pass and Ndiaye having only goalkeeper Samuel Akurugu to beat, he decided to set up his strike partner.
Safiu turned provider in the second goal, which was finished off with panache by Ndiaye, who curled in beautifully with his left foot from the right.
Hasaacas showed little intentions of winning and did not pester the backline enough.
In summary it was a blunt display from the Giants of the West could not unlock Allies.
The visitors were without four key players and that robbed them off some sharpness upfront.
At the death of the match, substitute Mohammed Sheriff nearly snatched the third goal but goalkeeper Akurugu had a finger tip save.
Allies will rely on results from Sunday’s matches and Wednesday to see if they will remain in the danger zone.
