Focus is on maintaining winning momentum:
Midfielder Mohammed Zakari has indicated that it’s important the team keeps a level head and build on recent run of wins.
Zakari has been influential for the side in the crucial wins against King Faisal in Accra and away to Eleven Wonders in Techiman.
The Cedar Stars Academy product said though the team’s confidence has been boosted by the recent wins, it is important that they don’t dwell on that ahead of the game against Legon Cities on Saturday.
“We have enjoyed our last two games because we won convincingly and that has boosted our confidence. Though we are enjoying our wins, we cannot underrate our opponents because we are winning our games.”
Zakari also expressed delight that the team is able to convert their chances after a bad turn over in the opening games of season.
“It’s a relief we are now scoring goals. At the start of the season we suffered some painful results because we failed to convert our chances so we need to focus on maintaining that.”
The player was on the scoresheet for his first career goal at Inter Allies away to Eleven Wonders and he stated it is a relief to get a goal.
“Personally I have been waiting to score a league goal. That is one area I have been working on and it is paying off now”.
Inter Allies will play their Match Day 9 fixture against Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
