Summary – Liberty Professionals 2-3 Inter Allies – Dansoman:
Inter Allies returned to winning ways with a 3-2 away win over Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman on Thursday.
Samuel Armah and Victorien Adebayor put us ahead but George Ansong with a brace levelled before Mohammed Zakari left it very late in the second half.
The technical team made one change from the team that drew 1-1 with Hearts of Oak on Sunday with Abraham Okyere replacing suspended Paul Abanga in the starting eleven.
On a very good note Inter Allies took the game to the hosts. Samuel Armah and Victorien Adebayor made incursions with the early pressure to put Liberty at bay.
The two attackers were sharp, Samuel Armah drew first blood in the 24th minute before Victorien Adebayor also doubled the lead just two minutes after.
George William Ansong with a very fine finish reduced the deficit with four minutes left till recess.
Liberty pushed more men forward and were rewarded with their immense pressure, a well-worked build up was finished brilliantly by George William Ansong, getting his brace.
The game became very balanced but Allies kept asking questions and were awarded a penalty in the 75th minute.
Richmond Lamptey was quick to steal the ball in the box and was brought down illegally, Victorien Adebayor stepped up but his effort was calmly saved by the goalkeeper.
When everyone thought the game was ending in a draw, Allies scored. Mohammed Zakari was at the receiving end of a fine set up and slotted home the winner in added on time.
A win at last, after three matches. Liberty’s George William Ansong who got the brace was named the NASCO Man of the match.
