Match Summary – Inter Allies 2-3 Asante Kotoko – Dawu
We lost narrowly in a hard-fought match at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu on Monday afternoon to Asante Kotoko in the matchday 29 tie.
Alex Aso and Andy Okpe’s goals in both halves were not enough to get us the win as the visitors left with all the maximum points.
It was an open battle in the final fixture of matchday 29, we came from behind twice but eventually succumbed to the Porcupine Warriors.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 27th minute, Emmanuel Gyamfi slotted home from close range – connecting Evans Adomako’s cross.
Alex Aso leveled matters in the 39th minute through a simple close-range finish, after a great work by Nafiu Sulemana.
Just two minutes after going up, Kotoko restored their lead. Evans Adomako also scored from close range – from a goalmouth melee.
We chased equalized in the 64th minute, our Nigerian striker Andy Okpe jumped the highest and headed home from Paul Abanga’s corner kick.
When we thought we had the upper hand to go ahead, the visitors rather got the lead. Andrew Appau scored in the 71st minute to win it for Kotoko.
Our striker Andy Okpe was named the NASCO man of the match.
