CAF U20 – Frank Assinki wins tournament with Ghana:

HB Koge hard working defender Frank Assinki on Saturday night won the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations trophy with Ghana in Mauritania.

The Black Satellites defeated their counterparts from Uganda 2-0 at the Stade Olympique de Nouakchott with captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scoring both goals.

The game which was played on the 6th of March coincided with Ghana’s 64th Independence Day celebration – a perfect opportunity to lift the trophy.

Assinki who was the star man in defence, featured in all the 6 matches played at the competition and lasted the entire duration in all the games played.

At the end of the tournament, Ghana’s Abdul Fatawu Issahaku emerged as the Player of the Tournament with Goalkeeper Ibrahim Danladi also grabbing the Golden Gloves.
