Match Report: Adabraka Elders FC 1-0 Cedar star
Cedar Stars Academy put on a determined display but fell short to a solitary goal against Adabraka Elders FC in our week 24 Greater Accra Region FA Division Two League match at the St. Thomas Aquinas Park.
From the outset, the team showcased their attacking intent, stringing together passes with precision and dominating midfield play. They carved out several promising opportunities in the opening minutes, troubling the Adabraka Elders defense.
However, a setback came in the 20th minute when we conceded a penalty. The home side capitalized on the opportunity, converting from the spot to take the lead.
Despite the setback, the lads never surrendered. Their fighting spirit shone through as they continued to press forward relentlessly in search of an equalizer, particularly in the second half.
The team created a multitude of scoring chances, showcasing their attacking prowess. Unfortunately, they were unable to convert those opportunities on this occasion.
The final whistle blew with the scoreline reading 1-0 in favor of Adabraka Elders FC.
Although the result wasn’t what we had hoped for, the team’s determination, attacking play, and ability to create chances were positive takeaways from the match.
The team will look to build on these positives as they move forward in the league.
