Match Report: Cedar Stars defeat United Talent FC 3:1

Cedar Stars Academy delivered a resounding performance in our Match day 21 encounter against United Talent FC in the Greater Accra Regional FA division 2 league at the Adjiringanor Astro Turf, securing a vital 3-1 victory.

Right from the opening minute , the boys asserted their dominance on the pitch, exhibiting a hunger for victory.

The team’s fluid passing and cohesive midfield play allowed them to carve open United Talent FC’s defense with ease, creating numerous scoring opportunities.

Nickolas Kukah set the tone for our victory with a spectacular strike from outside the box in the 16th minute, igniting the teams’ confidence.

Despite a penalty being awarded against us in the 29th minute, goalkeeper Osman Abubakari Sadiq rose to the occasion and punched the ball to the corner line , denying the opponent of an equalizer.

The crucial save energized the team to swiftly turn defense into attack, capitalizing on a quick counter-attack to double our lead.

Salifu Abdulai’s sensational curler in the 33rd minute and a beautiful flick after connecting with a sublime cross from the left flank the in the 43rd minute just before halftime ensured we headed into the break with a 3-0 scoreline.

Despite conceding a goal in the 56th minute of the second half, the lads maintained their composure and defensive solidity to see out the match and secure a well-deserved 3-1 victory.
