Inter Allies striker Sheriff Deo Mohammed featured for the Local Black Stars in their CHAN Qualifier over the weekend at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The lanky striker and the club’s top scorer at the just ended Premier League lasted 65 minutes before he was replaced by Nuhu Fuseini.

Baba Mensah was an unused substitute and he saw the entire game from the bench.

The Homebased Black Stars who are on course to qualify for the 2016 African Nations Championship defeated the Local Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire 2-1.

The home-based Black Stars will go into the second leg with an advantage and will seek to confirm their qualification after the second leg tie.

The winner over two legs between Ghana and Ivory Coast will be eligible for a place at the 4th African Nations Championship taking place in Rwanda early next year.
