Inter Allies winger Evans Mensah has been handed a late call up to the senior national team (Black Stars), the Ghana Football Association announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Evans Mensah who has been adjudged Man-of-the-match on three occasions from four league games this season will join the Black Stars in AFCON 2017 preparation against Mozambiqe.

He will team up with 22 other Black Stars players in training on Tuesday in a 23-man squad to face Mozambique in the  2017 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

Mensah who recently got call up the national U-20 side will now play a part in Ghana’s qualifier with Mozambique at Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday or the second leg in Maputo four days later.
