Former Inter Allies defender Daniel Amartey has been named in Ghana’s final 23-man squad for the upcoming African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea later this month.
The 21-year-old defender featured two seasons for the Eleven Is To One from 2011 to 2013 where he was an integral member of the team.
Amartey now plays for FC Copenhagen after leaving Djurgårdens IF at the end of last season.
The Black Stars will face tough competition after they’ve been drawn with Algeria, Senegal and South Africa.
Amartey took to Twitter to express his happiness: “Very privileged to be representing my beloved country at the #AFCON2015 Dreams, they say, do come true!”
Inter Allies congratulate and wish Amartey Good Luck!!
