Inter Allies goalkeepers Kwame Osei and Frank Andoh had a surprise visit from veteran Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Eleven Is To One had recorded their first away win this season by beating Great Olympics in the match day 10 fixture of the 2014/15 league season and the legend passed by the dressing to have a chat with his young friends.
Kingson who is now with Great Olympics had a training session with Inter Allies during the club’s preseason training last year at the Lizy Sports complex and took opportunity to see the progress made by the goalkeepers from what he taught them way back.
Andoh who was excited to meet his role model told www.interalliesfc.com: “I must say he encourages the youth and he is a perfect role model for our generation and young goalkeepers.”
“His progress as a goalkeeper has inspired me a lot, looking at him helps me to grow into the game well, it’s a great honour to have met him.”
Osei, who has gotten the opportunity to meet Kingson several times delightedly said: “It boots morale to meet such personality once again, he has taught me a lot and keeps teaching me anytime I meet him.”
“He adds real value to us young goalkeepers and makes us dream more to be where we need to be.”
Kingson has promised to help these young goalkeepers reach their maximum potentials and would continue to mentor them.
