Match Report: Nazareth FC 2-1 Inter Allies

We kicked off our 2023/2024 Volta Regional Football Association Middle League campaign with a determined performance against Nazareth FC at the Ho Sports Stadium.

The Eleven Is To One lads started brightly, enjoying good spells of possession and creating several promising chances.

After the 20-minute mark, we took control of the game, with striker Gideon Adjei causing Nazareth’s defense problems.

Adjei’s persistence paid off in the 35th minute when he weaved past two defenders and delivered a pinpoint cross for Samuel Boakye to tap home the opening goal.

We went into halftime with a well-deserved lead.

The second half saw us continue our attacking dominance, but a goalkeeping error early in the half gifted Nazareth a penalty, which they duly converted.

Despite the setback, we continued to press forward but unfortunately, a lapse in concentration allowed Nazareth to grab a second goal five minutes later.

We fought valiantly for an equalizer, but Nazareth held on to secure a 2-1 victory.

Although disappointed with the result, we can take heart from the strong performance in the first half and our positive attacking intent throughout the match.

The team will look to build on these positives we they continue our Middle League campaign.
