Lawson Sabah scores in Linköping City’s draw with Hammarby IF.
Midfielder Lawson Sabah was on target for Linköping City in their 2-2 draw against Swedish top tier side Hammarby IF in a preseason friendly game.
The former Inter Allies man lasted the entire duration of the game where he opened the scoring in the 15th minute.
He received a pass from halfway line and drilled a bullet from 25 meters low into the net to put his side ahead, after excessive pressure.
Matheus Garcia Fernandez doubled the lead two minutes after half an hour, going into the break with a comfortable lead.
However, the hosts came back from recess very strongly at the Hammarby IP.
Sandev Svendsen reduced the deficit half way through the second half (68th minute) before Imad Khali restored parity very late in the game (90+1).
In the end, it was a fruitful exercise for both sides as they continue preparations for the new season.
