The Capelli Boys suffered their first defeat of the NC Special Competition, losing 2-1 away at the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman to Liberty Professionals.
Effiong Nsungusi Jnr registered his second goal in two games and the equalizer of the game but later turned to be only a consolation.
Rashid Iddi made no changes to the starting XI that drew 1-1 with WAFA SC in Sogakope last weekend, Emmanuel Kuzuma replaced Ali Abdul Rahman at the bench.
Right from kick off, Allies took the game to Liberty with Effiong Nsungusi Jnr and Samuel Armah getting early chances to take lead but both attackers were too slow to slot in the opener.
Allies kept asking questions, however, against the run of play the hosts got the lead via Elvis Kyei Baffour in the 12th minute.
They held on firm until the break even though Allies enjoyed the lion share of possession.
But the Capelli Boys leveled things up seven minutes after the hour mark.
Effiong Nsungusi Jnr scored his second goal in two games after doing so well to blast home beautifully after a solo effort from the halfway line.
However, the joy of leveling was short lived as Simon Zibo jumped the highest to head home the second goal and later the winner for the hosts two minutes later.
The Capelli Boys worked for the equalizer but all attempts at goal went futile and Liberty grabbed their second win of the competition.
