Summary – Berekum Chelsea 1-3 Inter Allies – Golden City:
Inter Allies continued their fine form with yet another away win by beating Berekum Chelsea 3-1 on a dry and sunny Saturday afternoon at the Golden City Park.
Victorien Adebayor scored his 9th and 10th of the season, Samuel Armah also got his 4th and Augustine Henneh grabbed the consolation for the hosts.
The technical team made no changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Legon Cities but Gockel Ahortor and Abraham Okyere made the bench for the match-day 10 encounter.
The match became “The Adebayor show” as he opened the scoring with a stunning free-kick in the 32nd minute with ball passing through the hands and legs of the goalkeeper.
The Capelli Boys could have gotten the cushion moments after but Victorien Adebayor’s free kick was carefully palmed away by the goalkeeper and the rebound was booted away too.
Strong enough at the back from a tough midfield wall prevented Chelsea from coming close our goal area and held on until the mandatory half way break.
The second half came good for Allies, Samuel Armah got the better of Victorien Adebayor’s flick and slotted home his fourth of the season with close range shot, two minutes after recess.
As expected, Chelsea pushed and were rewarded for their immense pressure. Augustine Henneh with a beauty from distance pulled one back for the home side to raise some hope in the 62nd minute.
However, the game changed again and Allies took charge. Victorien Adebayor with a solo effort cut back in the box and curled to the top corner with few minutes to go.
Chelsea were pinned and Allies showed strength and held on firm until the final minutes of the game.
Victorien Adebayor was named the NASCO man of the match, his 5th of the season.
