Summary – VRFA D2 League – Inter Allies 2-1 Mepe United – Battor

Inter Allies made a significant statement in the Adonai Estate Volta Division Two League Southen Sector B Zone B, ending the Group Phase undefeated.

The Eleven Is To One lads wrapped up the stage with a hard fought 2-1 win over Mepe United on Sunday afternoon at the RC Park in Battor.

After a barren first half, Emmanuel Tochukwu Igwe opened the scoring just four minutes after recess, he smashed in beautifully from the edge of the area.

On the 65th minute, Solomon Aidoo with a fantastic freekick from an acute angle, doubled our lead after enjoying the lion share of possession.

The visitors had a consolation late in the game but that didn’t stop us from doing the double over them.

Our captain and midfielder, Emmanuel Tochukwu Igwe was named the Man of the Match for the 2nd time in a row.
