Inter Allies youth side, Accra Youth SC thrashed Powerlines FC 9-1 in the Greater Accra Second Division Zone Three league.
The young ‘Eleven Is To One’ recorded their highest victory of the campaign in a home match at the La Town Park on Saturday.
A brace each from Lawson Ofori who’s fitting in well after his injury and Mohammed Zakari plus goalkeeper Theo Tetteh’s penalty were the highlights of the game.
Desmond Abuga made sure the visitors had not settled when he grabbed the opener in the 8th minute before Samuel Bekoe doubled the lead 4 minutes later.
Lawson Ofori bagged his brace in a period of five minutes (20th & 25th), paving way for winger David Tetteh and Zakari Mohammed to make it 6-0 after 36 minutes.
The visitors then managed to get a consolation and their only goal on the day three minutes before the break, the first half ended 6-1 for Accra Youth.
Nothing really changed on the field of play as Accra Youth made use of the home support to exhibit nice inter-passing and high tempo football leaving the visitors clueless.
Early in the second half, goalkeeper Theo Tetteh added his name to the score sheet, slotting home neatly and nicely from the penalty spot to make it 7-1.
Zakari Mohammed completed his brace on the hour mark before Ismeal Ntefuni added the icing on the cake on the 82nd minute in an emphatic demolishing exercise.
